Another leak detector tactic that you can consider is running you hand along the floor or walls of your home in the room where you believe you may have a leak. If you discover a hot spot on your floor or walls, this could be a sign that you have a “hot water” leak in your home.
The easiest water leak detector tactic that you can use is your eyes! Most people will be able to tell they have a water leak by simply monitoring changes to their surroundings using their eyes. For example, if you notice that you are gaining excessive mildew around your bathtub, sink, or toilet bowls, this could be an indicator that you have leak. If you notice large or even small cracks in your walls or floor along with a change in the color of the paint or floor, this could also be an indicator that you have a leak in your home. If may also notice “water spots” on your ceiling.
